New stock for summer! The Festival time is here again in Hay on Wye-this has come around quickly after the endless long dark months -and suddenly, here we are in the thick of the first week.
To embrace this occasion, we have some old favourites back in stock.
We're thrilled to have more stock from Craftworks Cambodia again.Andrew and Louise, were among the first UK stockists and this is a cause dear to their hearts. Cambodia was hit horribly by the pandemic. This country is still recovering from 30 years of war and is striving to regain economic stability. By purchasing and buying these products, you can help people to train and get work. Many artisans are disabled either through polio or land mines.By working for a Fairtrade organization, workers can access education, training and healthcare and many can work-from-home .Wallets and bags are made from Recycled cement or fish food bags, and earrings are made from bomb casings and bullets.Repurposing articles of destruction into beauty!
We have new Earth Positive tee shirts -fair trade and sustainably made from Indian organic cotton in Bangladesh using solar power and eco friendly dyes -still so soft and easy to wear.
Then, the tiles are here, all bright and beautiful from Mexico-just the thing to brighten up the dull days -although hopefully we won't have many more of them now that summer is finally here.
Closer to home
Boodle Tees are back -a lovely selection of endearing animal T-shirts made by Beth from across the Bristol channel in Somerset. The collection includes Lobsters,Bees,Foxes ,and more.
We have some gorgeous new glasses from Hey!remade, recycled bottles which are now glasses jugs and vases -the cobalt and emerald look beautiful together.
Lots to see so come on down while you are in Hay and have a welcome browse in the cool of Eighteen Rabbit :)
