Bags that transform lives

We're getting excited in the warren about the prospect of new Eighteen Rabbit bags. We've got just four left of the original '3 lines, 3 dots' limited edition bags, and have been working on a new design based on our popular postcards.

Our bags are produced by a fantastically inspirational organisation called Freeset. Based in Sonagacchi, the largest sex district in Kolkata, India, Freeset was set up by a couple from New Zealand in 2001. They offer an alternative to some of the 10,000 women in the area who sell their bodies on a daily basis. Many of these women have been sold into prostitution and young girls are often forced into lives of slavery and exploitation.

At Freeset, women are offered full time employment, double the standard wage, health insurance and pensions. The Freeset Trust provides training for literacy, child care, budgeting and debt management. But more importantly the women are given freedom, hope and dignity.

Psst... here's a sneak preview of the new bags which will be available very soon!
